​Media Center Hours

Monday-Friday 7:15-2:30 (during normal school hours)- These times are adjusted during hybrid/remote learning schedules.

• Check out a lunch pass in the cafeteria to come to the Media Center during lunch time.
• The Media Center is available in the mornings from 7:15-7:30 and at lunch for students to do work, print, use the Makerspace, or just catch up with classmates. The morning news show, VH Today, is also run during this time in the Media Center.

Check Out Policies

• Books may be checked out for two weeks
• Students may check out up to four items
• Students may not check anything out if they have an overdue book
• There will be a charge for any items not returned
• Students may place a book on hold using the Destiny book catalog

Mission Statement

The mission of the Van Hoosen Media Center is to provide a diverse collection of resources, materials, and equipment for both students and staff, which support the curriculum and meet the many levels of educational need; to offer instructional services that provide informational skills, technology skills, and promote an interest in reading; and to provide professional support to faculty in planning, designing, and delivering instruction using various media and technologies.
